Pneumatic Drum Clutches And Brakes

We provide a range of drum style pneumatic clutches and brakes, both constricting and expanding types, in six clutch / brake configurations that are fully interchangeable with all other clutch brands in the market today. The clutch / brake configurations include the FK (CB), FKE (EB), FKR (ER), FM (CM) and FKT (VC). For more details, or if you would like help to make a size selection for a new or replacement element, please contact us.

Constricting Air Clutches And Drum Brakes

Our constricting drum clutches and brakes radially engage the outer edge of the drum when pressurized. The rubber nylon cord-reinforced air tube forces the element’s friction shoe assemblies against the outer edge of the drum. The rate at which the air tube is pressurized directly affects the rate at which the torque increases.

Expanding Air Clutches And Drum Brakes

Our expanding drum clutches and brakes expand radially towards the inner edge of the drum when pressurized. The outward expansion of the rubber heavy-duty nylon cord reinforced neoprene tube thrusts friction shoes against the inner edge of the drum. The rate at which the air tube is pressurized directly affects the rate at which the torque increases. Final tube pressure determines the element’s overall torque capacity.
