EDCO USA was founded in 1994 by Ed and Sheila Johnson with the intent to manufacture high-quality, “made in America” vacuum products for the USA market. However, it has been our good fortune to develop relationships with qualified distributors around the world and our export sales now approach 40% of our sales. Counterintuitively, we started a manufacturing business without having any machines to make the parts or to mold our vacuum cups. For about ten years, we relied on others to provide that function while we concentrated on designing new components and expanding the EDCO product line. Today, we own a full complement of CNC machines, inspection equipment, and injection molding machines to manufacture EDCO products in our 27,000 ft2  factory near St. Louis, Missouri. Our two sons, Chris and Justin, grew up in the business. As officers, they have the responsibility of day-to-day operations of the company. EDCO is a family-owned company and will remain so for the foreseeable future. Since we design, manufacture, and document the performance of all EDCO products, we can provide an unparalleled level of technical assistance to our customers and distributors.
